dispensaries etc. This is the birth place of Yashobhadrasurishvarji, the disciple of
Jambuswami, of Bhadrabahuswami and of other great sadhus. The royal courtesan named Kosa
lived in this city. Munishri Sthulibhadraji asked permission for his monsoon sojourn in
her house got it and changed the courtesan kosa into a Shravika observing the twelve vows.
This is a long-remembered incident in the history of the Jain religion. The two sects of
Svetambars and Digambars can into existence since the times of Sthulibhadra.

Jains till the seventh century. Later on, it was divided in small towns. Sheth Sudarshan
also died here. It is said that he was taken to the gallows but by virtue of navkar
mantra, the gallows were changed into a throne. The memorial is present here even today.
