Kadamba Dynasty

The dynasty was founded in 2nd century AD and prominently enjoyed power upto 6th century AD even though it continued upto 13th century A D. Shivakoti; a king of this dynasty had adopted Jainism, after whom several rulers expressed faith in the religion. Several sects of Jain ascetics such as Yapanlya, Nirgrantha, Kurchak, Shvetapat had their followers in the kingdom.
