Bhagawan Bhateva Parshvanath

Mulnayak: Nearly 23 cms. High, catechu - colored idol of Bhagawan Bhateva Parshvanath with a waist - band and in the Padmasana posture along with the idols of Dharanendradev and Padmavati.

How to reach: This temple is at a distance of one kilometer from the Chansama railway station on the Mehsana - Harij road. There are Dharmashala and bhojanashalas near station.

Historicity: under instructions of Acharya Shri Ajitasinhasurisvarji of the Achalagachchha, Suchandra Shravak established this temple in the year 1335 of the Vikram era. Shravaka Ravinchandra of Chansama renovated it in the year 1535 of the Vikram era. It is stated Shravak Shri Suchandera found that idol in village Bhatuar near Idar. The painting in the temples indicates that Gods worshiped the idol in earlier period. Since this idol was found from the hollow of the earth in the Bhatuar Village, this is called the idol of Bhateva Parshvanath. This idol is made of sand and is very impressive. Along with the idols of Dharanendradev and Padmavati, this girded idol made of sand, looks very pleasing.
