Bhagawan Simandhar Swami

 

Mulnayak: Nearly 365 cms. High, white-colored idol of Bhagawan Simandhar Swami in the Padmasana posture.

How to reach: On the outskirts of the Mehsana city on the Ahmedabad-Mehsana highway. The railway station of Mehsana is at a distance of two kilometers. From this temple on the Ahmedabad-Delhi highway, bus service and vehicles are easily available. In the compound of the temple boarding and lodging facilities are provided. An upashraya is also there.

Historicity: The city predates to 15 century Vikram Era. The ancient and huge temple of Manmohana Parshvanath is in the city. Under the inspiration of Acharya Kailassagarsuri Maharaj Saheb, the new idol was formally installed in the new temple on the sixth day of the bright half of the month of Vaishakh in the year 2028 of the Vikram era. This temple is 161 ft. long, 97 ft. broad and 107 ft. high. This gives an idea of the grandeur of the temple. On seeing ‘Shri Simandhar Swami Moksha Praveshadvar’ at the gateway, the pilgrims get overwhelmed with joy. There are fifteen other temples in the city. The largest temple is of Manamohan Parshvanath Bhagawan.
