30 cms. high, white - colored idol of Bhagawan Dhrutakallol Parshvanath in the Padmasana
posture.
How
to reach: It is
in the center of the village Suthari. Bhuj, the nearest railway station is at a distance
of 86 kilometers and Gandhidham is at a distance of 160 kilometers. The roads are good and
the bus service and the taxi service are available here. Kothara, the sacred place nearby,
is at a distance of 12 kilometers. There are Dharmashala and Bhojanashalas.
Historicity: This sacred place is regarded to be the main sacred place of
the Abadasa Taluk of Bhuj - Kutch. Shri Uddeshi Shravaka got this idol from a
villager. He took it home and put it in the granary. The granary got filled with grains.
Similarly, during the construction and rituals, the ghee-pots remained full though a large
quantity of ghee was used from the pot. To remember the miraculous event, devotees called
the idol Dhrutakallol Parshvanath. This temple was formally installed on the eighth day of
the bright half of the month of Vaishakh in the year 1895 of the Vikram era. The temple is so constructed that twice in a year,
the Sun rays touch the feet of the idol On the upper flour, there is an idol of
Chaumukhji. There is a 31 cms. high idol of Bhagawan Kunthunath. Besides, there are
extraordinary ancient idols of Gautam Swami and Padmavatidevi.
