How to reach: It is in the street of the big temple in the town of Tharad. The nearest railway station of Deesa is at a distance of 55 kilometers. Buses and taxes are available for travel. Bhorali, the nearest village is at a distance of 23 Kilometers. There are boarding  and lodging facilities
   
Historicity: The ancient names of this city were Thirpur, Thiradi, Tharadara, Thirapadra etc. History says that a very large and high temple with 52 idols was built here in the year 1444 of the Vikram era. Maharaja Kumarpal built here a place named ‘Kumar Vihara’. There was a time when this was a very big  city and thousands of Shravakas lived there. They made many attempts to uplift religion. ‘Shetrunjay Teerthayatra’ Sangha lead by the great merchant, Abha, in the year 1340 of the Vikram era, is very well known. The title of paschim Mandalik’ was bestowed upon Abha and the title of ‘Laghu kashmir’ was bestowed on the Sangha. At present, there are 10 other temples.
