to Reach: Bidar district is situated on the northern tip of Karnataka on the border of
Andhra Pradesh. Bidar is 136 Kms from Hyderabad, the State capital of Andhra Pradesh via
Zahirabad The district has also border with Maharashtra. It is connected by the road
coming from Nanded and also through National Highway No. 9 Mumbai Poona Solapur- Urmarga
(Maharashtra) Humnabad (Karnataka)- Bidar. Bidar is 50 Kms from Humnabad. Bidar is 116 Kms
from Gulbarga. Bidar is also connected with Secundrabad. The nearest Airport is Hyderabad.
Historicity:
This is small and historical temple dating back to 10 to 15 centuries AD. There are idols
of Chandraprabhu (Padmasana) of marble; Bhagwan Padamparbhu in Standing pose (Kayotsarga)
of Panchdhatu; Nine hooded seating idol of Parshvanath (marble) and other idols of
Kshetrapal and Devi Padmavati are worth seeing. Panchayat- Shree Digambar Jain Mandir
Panchmandal, Shahganj, Bidar-565401 manage the temple.
Bidar is on route to Atishay Kshetra Kamthan. In Bidar Museum, the statue of
Bhagwan Rishabdev of 10 century AD is worth seeing.
