(Maharashtra) Humnabad (Karnataka)- Bidar. Bidar is 50 Kms from Humnabad. Bidar is 116 Kms
from Gulbarga. Bidar is also connected with Secundrabad. The nearest Airport is Hyderabad.
Historicity: Humnabad was known as Jaisinghpur after its
founder King Jaisingh of Chalukaya dynasty. The Digambar temple of Bhagwan Chandraprabhu
is in a street known as Jain gali. The temple is better known as Music School (sangeet
pathshala) since a center is run from the school. The temple is about 500 years old. Made
of stone. The Idol of Bhagwan Chandraprabhu
is very artistic. Besides one 60 cms high marble idol of Bhagwan parsvanath; the idol of
Gommeteswar; Bhagwan mahavir and two more idols of Bhagwan parsvanath are installed in the
temple. There is one Jain family looking after the temple. There is one more temple, which
is not in maintenance
