Mulnayak: 3 feet high idol of Bhagwan Neminath

How to reach: lakkundi is in gadag taluka and 11 Kms from gadag town on karwar-hubli-gadag-hosepet-bellari road route. Gadag railway station is 68 Kms from badami and 59 kms from Hubli. the stay arrangements are available at gadag town.

Art and architecture; Brahamjinalaya meuseum    temple

Historicity: The famous 'sati attiambe', the wife of a commanadar of king Tailap has given donations for the bhramjinalaya and distributed 1500 jina images of precious stones to various temple. At present, this is only jain temple here in active worship. this temple is 93 feet long, 35 feet wide and the height of shikhar is 42 feet. there are 33 well decorated pillars with images of gajlakshmi at the entrance. The important idols are ;- choumukhi idol of braham dev; a small idol of devi sarasvati with a tirthanakar idol on her head; idol of devi padmavati and bronze idols of panchparmesthi and choubisi. The mulnayak idol of Bhagwan Neminath and numerous rock-inscriptions are very ancient.

    One must visit the meuseum at lakkundi near the temple.   the Idols stored here are from 11 CAD collected from Lakkundi and nearby places.
