How to reach: manglore is connected to Delhi by rail. It is 34 Kms from Mudbidri. The jain temple is on MTDC road.

Art and architecture: Parsvanath

 Historicity. Manglore  is a famous port of Karnataka. In addition to Jain Temple, the chuch of Saint Eloysis is worth visiting. The jain temple is near Main temple road in the stret opposite the masjid. This temple is dedicated to bhagwan Shantinath.  On alladi road, one could also see the Svetamabar jain temple The other  jain centers  in Manglore District are ;-

a) bappanad- kota kori basdi

b)karkur:- Jain temple at Katahle

c) guruvayankere is on the way to dharamnsthala near venur. One could visit 1 Shantieshwar temple- Chandranath basdi- Ananatnath basdi. The jain temples are also at  bantwal- samse- padubadri and sulekeri

barkur;-In udipi taluka is known for a ruined jain temple of 9 CAD.

Bommerbet: a ruined jain temple of 9 CAD

Kellaputige:- in karkal taluka is known for ancient Shri Anantnath basdi. A five inches  idol of Bhagwan parsvanath is very attractive. There ae some invaluable small idols in this temple.

nallur: in karkal taluka have Parsvanath basdi and Ananatnath basdi with idols of 11 CAD. A bronze choubisi of 18 inches of 11 CAD; 11 CAD images of jawalamalini, Padmavati and other Jinas are very attractive.

Nellikaru:- in karkal taluka is known for Prsvanath basdi with idols from 11 -15 CAD. The mulnayak idol of bhagwan Parsvanath is of 4 feet in kayotsarg posture.  another idol of bhagwan Mahavir of bronze is of 14 CAD. A 14 tirthanakar image of bronze  with Bhagwan ananatnath as mulnayak  is of 15 CAD. There are two bronze  choubisi of 12 CAD in this temple.

Bangvadi: is 4 Kms from dharamsthal have three jain temple  and the bada mandir is dedicated to bhagwan shantinath where a rath yatra is taken out in january every year.

   One should also see the Jain temple at Bangar manjeshwar of kasargod in kerla (27 Kms from manglore).

Sharvanagunda:- Sharavangunda is 3 kms from bangivadi and is famous for miracles of brahmadev and his temple in the forest area.
