How to reach: This place is 22 Kms from Sirsi in Karwar District. A dharamshala is also here. One may stay at Sirsi and visit nearby Jain centers.

 Historicity: The Jain math is managed by Bhattarak called ‘Akalankji’. Near the math 6 Jain temples are worth visiting.An ancient temple dedicated to Bhagwan Rishabdev is   annexed to this math. The idols of Bhagwan Chandraprabh and Bhagwan bahubali are also installed in this temple.

a)Banvasi:- This place is very important rom jain Literature point of view. The Jain acharaya- puspdantand bhootbali authored " shatkhandan' ( 6 parts). Chandraprabh basdi at this place has idols from 11 CAD to 16 CAD.

b) gerusoappa:- In honnavar taluk is near Jog falls.Shri ananatnath basdi of 1360AD, Shantinath basdi of 1563 AD and other jain temples of later period like Chaturmukh basdi, neminath basdi, parsvanath basdi, Jawalamalaini basdi are ancient and indicates to rich hertiage of jaina in this area.

c)Bhatkal:- This place is near gerusoappa and the Chandranath basdi is worth visiting.

d)haduballi:- in Bhatkal taluka is known for its choubisa basdi with bronze trikal choubisi(72 jina images). the other Jain temples include Chandranath basdi with idols from 13 -15 CAD, Parsvanath basdi and 24 marble idols at haripeeth.

e) Murdeshwar:- In Bhatkal Taluka is famous for Parsva basdi of 14 CAD. the idols of Bhagwan Parsvanath, Padmavati and dharendera are very ancient. There is a serpent image of 3 serpents making a knot.

f) bilagi: in Sidhhapur taluka is known for Ratnatray basdi of 1570 AD. The idols of Bhagwan parsvanath in kayotsarg(4 feet) with Yaksh and yakshi, idol of Bhagwan Mahavir swami in kayotsarg, idol o Bhagwan rishabdev are from 15 CAD.

g) gundbal:-in Honnvar taluka is known for ratantray basdi of 11 CAD. the idol of Bhagwan rishabdev of 11 CAD is on lotus, a choubisi are here. The other temple is  known as sooresth basdi with a choubisi with bhagwan adinath as Mulnayak.

h)-Manki:- in Honnavar taluka is known for Shantinath basdi of 12 CAD.

i)vaigalli:- in Kumut taluka is known for its Parsvabasdi

j):- Kumut:- is famous for Parsvanath basdi of 12 CAD. The idol of Mulnayak was installed by Shri Mukunddev of Mulsangh of sursathgan chitrakutgachh.
