to reach:The Tirth is 4 Kms from kirloskar wadi on Pune-satara-Miraj line and 51 Kms from
Sangli by road. The Tirth dharamshala provides the facilities of lodging and boarding.
Historicity:
The idol of Bhagwan Parsvanath is very miraculous. It is stated that king Satyaeshwar fell
ill and was all efforts to cure him failed. His queem Padamashri made the idol of Bhagwan
Parsvanath and worshipped the idol. The king soon recovered and as a gesture of
gratitude, the temple was constructed and the miraculous idol was installed. The village
from where the dahi(curd) used to come for Abhisek is known as
Dehri- the village from where doodh (milk) used to come is known
as Dudhari- from where fal(fruits) came is known as falas and from where the
Kumbh(coconut) used to come is still known as kumbhar. These villages are nearby the
Tirth.
There is a cave at a distance of about 2 Kms from the village on the hill. There the idols of Bhagwan Parsvanath and Devi Padmavati are installed. The place is called jhari parsvanath because the water keep pouring on the idols from the natural source. there ia nother hill about 4 Kms from the jhari parsvanath. Here an idol of Bhagwan parsvanath (95 Cms) of black stone is installed.
