Shri Pethan tirth

 

Mulnayak: idol of Bhagwan Munisuvaratswami

How to reach: The tirth is on the bank of river godavari, 51 Kms south from Aurangabad in maharastra. The dharamshala provide the facilities of lodging and boarding.

Historicity: This is known as ‘ Shri Bhagwan Munisuvaratswami Digamabar jain Atisay Kshetra’. The ancient name od this place was ‘Partisthan’.

 The main temple is on the right side of the main gate  the black colored idol of Mulnayak is made of sandstone and I very ancient. The idol was renovated/polished in 1964 and hence looks new. Jains and other people come here to fulfill their wishes.
