Historicity: This is an ancient and art center where, it is said to be the tapasaya and Klayanak kshetra of  Bhagwan Sheetalnath. This place is known as atisay kshetra for miracles associated with this place. In the southern part of the town, the temple of Maladevi is on the hilltop and is considered to be miraculous. There is another jain temple known as ‘Vajramath’. The both the temples are examples of superfine art of high quality.
