Shri Tripuri(tever) Tirth

 

How to reach: The village of Tever is 9 kms werst of Jabalpur on Mumbai road in MP.

Historicity:  Tripuri was a famous city and capital of kaluchari kings and a great center of jains. At present it is a small village known as tever. In medivial period, there were numerous jain temple which are now in the shape of remanats only. the idols and other art objectys are installed used in the personal houses and some temples. There is shiva  temple in the cemnter of  a pond named"Balasagar" . One can see the idol of yakshi ambika ( of Bhagwan neminath) on the outer walls also  numerous idols of jain Yakshini could be seen. One of the idol (5 feet high) is installed in the Hanuman Tal Digamabar jain Parsvanath Bada mandir at Jabalpur. Some of the idols of this place are also kept ar Nagpur(Maharastra) meuseum.
