Mulnayak: 270 cms high Idol of Bhagwan Shantinath
How to
reach: Shri Shantinath digamabar Jain Atisay Kshetra Baghera is 17 Kms from kekdai and
97 Kms from Ajmer.
Historicity:
Numerous Jain idols were found which are very important from art and architecture point of
view. These idols installed in Shri Shantinath temple and also at Bhagwan Adinath
temple. People comes here to fulfill their ambitions and has great faith in the miraculous
idol of Bhagwan Shantinath. It is considered that this idol was installed in vikram 1254
under the guidence of Shri padamsen guru ji.
The idol of Bhagwan parsvanath was also found
from a field. On 24-25th July 1972 Ad, 24 idols( 5 of black stone and 19 of white) were
found during escavation pf fpundation of a dharamshala odf Baba ramdeo by the villagers.
these idols were handed over to jains and were installed in bhagwan Shantinath Mandir.
These idols are of 8" to 30" and appears to be of 12 CAD. it appears that these
would have bben kept underground to conceal then from the attack of invaders.
One
should also visit the parsvanath tekri outside the village where rock cut images of
tirhanakars could be seen.
