Shri Bamanvada Tirth

Mulnayak: Nearly 75 Cms. high, Red -colored idol of Bhagawan Mahavir Swami in the Padmasana posture.

How to reach: The nearest railway station of Shirohi is at distance of 7 kilometers and Pindavada is at a distance of 8 kilometers. This place is between Sirohi Road  and Sirohi. Bus service and private vehicles are available. Board and lodging provisions are there in the compound of the temple.
Historicity: It is sacred to Mahavira and a popular destination for Shvetambara pilgrims. The earliest inscription on this hill dates from 1292, but there are remains which are much older. An. extensive re-renovation took place in 1979. Lord Mahavira's        footprints are worshipped on top of the hill.

This tirth is known as Jivit Swami. King Samprati observed the vow of going on a pilgrimage. to five tirths four times every year. The tirth of Bamanwada is among them. Samant Shah among the many tirths renovates the Bamanvada tirth in the year 821 of the Vikram era. This tirth was perhaps renovated many times. Recently, it was renovated under the auspices of Acharya Sushilsurisvarji in the year 2035 of the Vikram era. Bhagawan Mahavir suffered here the pain (Upasarga) of nails pushed into his ears. There is Charan Paduka (footprints) of Bhagawan here - Miracles happen here. Faithful worshippers come here for fulfillment of their wishes. Pilgrims in an especially large number come here on the eleventh day of the bright half of every month. The late king of the Shirohi State gifted his plough land and a stepped well for development of this tirth and documented the contract on a copper plate. Agam Mandir, the temple of Agams recently written in golden letters is under construction near the entrance of the temple Shri Samet Shikhar tirth is built on the hill. It is spectacular.
