to reach; bikaner is an important city of Rajasthan and is well connected by Train from
delhi and other cities.
Historicity:
There are 4 jain temples are pertaining to
the period 14-15 CAD when the desert city of Bikaner was founded. The Bhandasar temple was
built by a Jain merchant known as Bhanda. The
architecture of these temples have a impression of Indo-Islamic traditions. There are
numerous temples in the Private havelis of Jains –predominantly Svetamabars. These
temples and idols are very rich in art and include idols of precious metals. There are old
havelis converted ino Hotels preserving Jain values. One such hotel is in the center of
the city.
