How to reach: Shri Digamabar Jain atisaay kshetra Chamatakarji Aalanpur
is in Sawaimadhopur district of rajasthan. It is 5 Kms west of railway station and from
city of Sawaimadhopur. The temple is in a street and slightly away from the main
road leading to the city from the station. Boarding and lodging facilities are available
at the Tirth
Historicity: The tirth is called Chamatakarji because of Miracles
associated wih the saftik idol of Bhagwan Adinath. Legends tell that on 1st day of dark
moon in the monh of Bhadrapadin vikram samavat 1889, a Jogi in Aalanapur has a dream about
the idol and he found the idol in his field while ploughing. The idol was recognised as
that of Bhagwan Adinath on th basis of the sign of BULL and was installed in the present
temple. When they tried to shift he idol, the vehicle just could not move and the idol was
ulimately installed here.A numer of jain and other People take a bow o fulfill their
amvbitions. It is on record that one Naazim named nasruddin and other Safrudin has built
Chatri(canopy) and other structure as a amark of their respect on fulfillment of their
ambitions.
There are two Vedi in the temple. on the main vedi, The idol of Mulnayak bhagwan Padamprabh installed in Vikram 1546 is worshipped here.On the mainvedi, on left, the 30 idol of bhagwan chandraprabh(vikram1542)and on right, idols of Panchbalyati on 10" section are installed. on the rear vedi, the idol of Bhagwan chamatakarji adinath(6" of saftik) is installed.There is an idol of Bhagwan parsvanath(2feet of black stone) installed on 13 day of brightmoon of Chait in Vikram 1390 by Bhattarak Kumudkirti Dev of Balatkar gana. The place where the idol of Bhagwan Chamatarkarji was found is a few furlong and a canopy is built here. The tirth kshetra Mahavirji and Pdampaura are nearby this tirth.
