Shri Chandkhedi Tirth

Mulnayak: Nearly 109 cms pink colored idol of Bhagwan Rishbhdev in padamasan.

How to reach: Shri Digamabar Jain atisaay kshetra Chandkhedi is  on the bank of river rupli, 3 furlong from the town of Khanpur in Jhalawad district. The khanpur town is on Jhalawad- Bara road and Bus service from Jhalawad is available. One can reach hee from Jhalawad road station (62Kms) on Mumbai-Delhi railway of westwen railway. It si 35 Kms from atru Station,
Historicity: This tirth kshetra was built by one Diwan Shah Kishandas Bagherwal of Sangod (Dist.Kota) in 1746 AD. Once  he had come o Khanpur in a fair at Khanpur when he had a dream about the idols lying in Padakhoh. He recovered the idols. When the idol was not geting lifted, then the Shah had a dream that he alone  should lift the idol and carry the same wihout looking back. The people were amazed as to how he alone could lift the idol which earlier could not be lifted by even agroup of people. But when the Shah was crossing the river, he looked backed  to see the idol was safe in the midst of river. The moment he saw back, the cart stopped moving and th temple was built in the midst of river after diverting the  stream of river. The construction of temple started in 1742 and was completed in 1746 AD. The idol was installed with a great function under the guideance of Bhattarak of Aamer shri Jagatkirti ji in 1746 AD. The idol of Bhagwan Rishbhdev is very miraculous, artisic and attractive and one feel peace and blessed on darshan of the idol. It is stated at times, during night, one hear the music and puja by DEV.

    The idol of Bhagwan Rishbhdev (mulnayak) is 5 feet 3 inch high and one can see srivatsa sign on the chest of the idol. This idol is considered to be of vikram 512 period. The other idols in this temple include those of Bhagwan suparsvanath; Bhagwan Sambhavnath; Bhagwan parsvanath; Bhagwan Bahubali, Yakshi ambika and numerous other tirthankaras. A pillar with 52 images of tirthanakar on each side(total 208 images) called bawanjinalaya (52 jins) is a unique feature of this place. A festival is organised on 5th day to 9th day of dark moon in the month of chitra.
