Shri
Dhanari Tirth
Mulnayak: Nearly 60 cms, high, white-colored idol of Bhagawan
Shantinath in the Padmasana posture.
How to reach: It is in the Purohit street in the Dhanari village
on the bank of the Banas river. Sarupaganj, the nearest railway station, is at a distance
of two kilometers. It is one Kms from Abu-Sirohi Highway. Bus service and private vehicles
are available. Board and lodging provisions are there in the village.
Historicity: This tirth is proved to belong to a period prior to the year
1348 of the Vikram era. The ancient Mulnayak was Bhagawan Adishvar. Perhaps, the idol of
Bhagawan Shantinath was installed at some time of renovation. Acharya
Vijayjinendrasurishvarji accomplished the last renovation in the year 2006 of the Vikram
era. The seat of the Pujyas of the Tapagachchhiya Kamalakalash branch is here. It is
regarded as a branch of the seat at Patan. A flag is hoisted on the temple every year on
the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Vaishakh. There are small temples in a
garden nearby. There are in them the Charan of predecessors of His Holiness
Mahendrasurisvarji.
