Shri Mirpur Tirth

Mulnayak: Nearly 90 cms high, white-colored idol of Bhagawan Bhida-bhanjan Parshvanath in the Padmasana posture.

How to reach: It is among the hills in the forest at a distance of two kilometers from the village Mirpur. The temple is at a distance of 37 kilometers from the nearest railway station of Sirohi Road, at a distance of 60 kilometers from Abu and at a distance of 15 kilometers from the Sirohi town. It is on Sirohi-Abu Road. Bus service and private vehicles are available. There are provisions for board and lodging.

Art and Architecture: temples

Historicity: There is an inscription stating that King Samprati built this temple. There is a reference that this temple of renovated Shri Samant, the disciple of Acharya Jayanand Surisvarji. The remains scattered over here reveal that this was a large city in the past. The ancient sculpture of this temple reminds one of Abu, Delwada etc this is the birthplace of Shri Parshvachandrasuri Maharaj Saheb, the founder of Parshvachandra gachchha. A fair is held here every year on the tenth day of the dark half of the month of Magasar. Besides this, a temple of Bhagawan Mahavir and two other temples are there at present. The art of this place is matchless. It seems that the sculpture of domes, arched gates and pillars in nearby a thousand of years old. The carving of elephants in the temple, which seems to be the best work of art of the times of Pallav. The figures of yaksha, gandharvas, gods and goddesses all around are very well carved
