to reach: Allahabad is connected with major cities of India by train and road. One may
reach Allahabad via Kanpur. The Tirth is inside the fort near the sangam. Jain Dharamshala
at Chah-chand locality provides facilities for boarding and lodging.
Historicity:
Allahabad is situated on the confluence of the rivers ganga-yamuna-sarasvati and is called
pryagraj or Tirth raj by Hindus. The famous fort of Allahabad is near the confluence.
Inside the fort, there is a tree called Akshya vat. It is stated that Bhagwan Adinath had
done tapasya under this tree and attained Kewalgyan under this tree only. The first
Samasavaran of Bhagwan Adinath was also held at this place. Besides this, there are 4
temples are in the city. These ancient temples are very attractive.
