The Jain Mandir here is very artistic. This place is the Garbh- Diksha and Kewalgyan
Kalyanak bhoomi of tirthankar Shreyansnath ji. The 2200 years old Sarnath Stupa is near
the Jain Mandir. According to some scholars, this stup is a Jain Stupa though most of the
people consider it to be made by Emperor Ashok. This Stupa has the sign of Lion and
Dharmacakera, which has been adopted as a Sate Symbol by government of India. The local
museum should also be visited to see the numerous Jain idols.
